This weekend was a ton of fun! The UCLA novice men’s team drove down to Tempe on Friday night and went head to head with our novice men.

The course was a quick 1K spring between the Mill Ave. and Rural Road Bridges. The Novice 8 boats raced 3 times to determine who the champion of Town Lake was. All three races yielded similar results with the UCLA A boat taking the lead, ASU in the middle and UCLA B brining up the rear. In fairness, our men had to give up their tanks to the UCLA guys - that was the deal!

A men’s pair (our national silver medalists) also raced against UCLA and pulled out a victory!

All rowers were exhausted after after the races. It was a great Saturday and we want to thank the team for taking the long drive We’ll be seeing them again in a few weeks when we head out to their home course!

There are plenty of pictures in the gallery so check them out!
